Three COVID-19 patients and young doctor died in fire in intensive care unit in Zaporizhzhia

Three patients and a young doctor died in a fire in the intensive care unit of the regional infectious diseases hospital in Zaporizhzhia. This was announced by chairman of the Zaporizhzhia regional state administration Oleksandr Starukh, - Ukrinform writes.

"A tragedy occurred. Information about the fire in the regional infectious diseases hospital was received at 23:25. 16 pieces of equipment and 60 firefighters arrived. The fire took place on the first floor in the intensive care unit, in one of the 20 m² wards. 8 people were rescued during the liquidation, but 4 bodies were found: a doctor - young girl born in 1994, and three patients", - Starukh told.

"There were people on artificial lung ventilation on the first floor. They were carried out in arms", - the head of the Regional State Administration added.
