Former president, head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG on Donbas Leonid Kravchuk believes that the issue of Donbas and Crimea should be submitted to the all-Ukrainian referendum. He said this on the air of the Ukraine 24 channel, answering the question, what issue should be put to a national referendum right now.

"The most painful issue today is the issue of Donbas and Crimea. It should be said at the referendum that the people are for Ukraine to be whole, independent, with the return of its territories. This is the main question of the referendum, and not how to do it. The way should be presented already by the state, the authorities and the Verkhovna Rada. The people should say: "No, this cannot be so, the entire territory of Ukraine is integral and independent, and it must belong to Ukraine", - Kravchuk said.

According to him, the annexation of Crimea and the war in Donbas are perceived by the political forces of Ukraine differently.
