The enemy used grenade launchers of various systems against our defenders in the area of the settlements of Avdiivka and Krasnohorivka, as well as Vodiane in Pryazovia, he also fired several shots from small arms near Avdiivka. The armed formations of the Russian Federation were firing towards the Ukrainian positions from a large-caliber machine gun near Verkhniotoretske. Our soldiers returned fire several times to the numerous shelling of the enemy. There are no combat losses among the Joint Forces personnel.
289 cases of coronavirus disease and 122 cases "usual" pneumonia were detected in the occupied territory of Donetsk oblast over the past day. This was reported by the fake "DNR Ministry of Health". 16 more patients with "covid" have died over the past day. In total, as of January 12, there were 16 498 registered cases of COVID-19 infection in the occupied territory and 1464 deaths. Thus, the death rate from "covid" is 8.87%, which is several times higher than the same indicator in the free Ukrainian territory. The occupiers also reported that 122 cases of pneumonia were detected over the day, which they do not associate with coronavirus, and this is 58 cases more than in over the previous day. Of these, hospitalization was required in 98 cases. A total of 1884 patients with "usual" pneumonia are being treated, of which 692 are on oxygen support (+27 over the day).
Occupation authorities of CADO ordered motorists to undergo technical inspection according to Ukrainian standards. Authors of separatist publics on the Internet wrote this with indignation. Fans of the Russian world noticed that the decree of the self-proclaimed "government of the DNR" on the approval of the procedure for conducting a mandatory technical inspection of vehicles was mechanically copied from a similar Ukrainian document and had the bank details of Ukraine. Occupation authorities of CADO are going to begin the reconstruction of the Marynivka checkpoint on the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border this year. This was reported by the so-called "Ministry of Revenues and Duties of the DNR". The occupiers' plans include: "construction of a station building for registration of pedestrians and bus passengers…, expansion of the checkpoint's territory, arrangement of six additional lanes with separation of traffic flows into entry and exit". Let us recall that three illegal checkpoints have now been opened in CADO on the section of the border between Ukraine and Russia uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities: Marynivka, Novoazovsk and Uspenka which was reconstructed last year.
"Warming centers" are organized in 31 places in occupied Donetsk, among which, mainly, "administration and management" of the city districts, as well as utility companies. This was announced by Alexey Kulemzin, who calls himself the "head of the administration" of Donetsk, on a social network. "Due to the drop in the outside air temperature in winter, warming centers have been organized in Donetsk", - Kulemzin reported. Water supply to the urban-type settlement of Rodakove in the occupied Luhansk region was suspended due to repair work on the water pipe. This was reported by the so-called "Ministry of Emergencies of the LNR". In addition, the water supply to a part of the Perevalsk district was suspended due to an accident on the power line. In connection with an accident on the high-voltage line, the booster pumping plantwas disconnected from the power supply. As a result, the water supply to the settlements of the Perevalsk district was stopped: Artemivsk, Zorynsk, Bairachky, Kypucha, Komisarivka and Sofiivka.
The so-called "Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LNR" urged residents in the occupied Luhansk region to "restrict any movement in the open air" due to the worsening weather conditions. According to forecasters, deterioration of weather conditions is predicted on January 13-14. "In this regard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LNR calls on the citizens to comply with the necessary safety measures - to limit movement in the open air, both on foot and in personal transport", - the message said.
