The European Commission is ready to give in a recommendation on the decision on visa-free regime with Ukraine. This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko during the press conference in Brussels on Thursday, March 17th, - reports Zerkalo Nyedyeli.

In his turn, the head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker confirmed this information.

According to Juncker, the EU and Ukraine are interested in facilitating travel opportunities for citizens of both sides, - reports UNIAN.

"Ukraine has been carrying out great reforms in recent days and hours, mainly, such as amendments to the law on electronic declaration, appointment of members of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption ...," - said Juncker.

"These steps taken by Ukraine will allow us as the European Commission to make a proposal for visa liberalization in April," - said Juncker.

In his turn, the European Council President Donald Tusk said: "I am also pleased to report that further steps towards visa liberalization have been taken. Following the European Commission’s positive report in December, Ukraine has taken key steps in the implementation of outstanding commitments. I believe that soon it will be possible to carry out further steps to complete this process."
