Seven ceasefire violations were recorded in the area of the Joint Forces Operation on December 29. All violations were committed by the enemy in the area of responsibility of the East tactical force, - the headquarters of the JFO reported. The armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire from various types of weapons, including 120 and 82 caliber mortars, grenade launchers of various systems and small arms near the settlement of Vodiane in Pryazovia. The enemy used anti-tank grenade launchers in the area of Talakivka, and under-barrel grenade launchers - near Nevelske and Avdiivka. Ukrainian defenders opened fire in response to numerous shelling of the enemy. Ceasefire was observed in the area of responsibility of the North tactical force. There are no combat losses or wounds among our soldiers. All the facts of violations of the ceasefire were reported to the OSCE representatives through the Ukrainian party of the JCCC.
The "DNR" occupiers revealed another 223 cases of coronavirus disease over the day. This was reported by the fake "DNR Ministry of Health". 21 deaths were also recorded. In total, 14 898 cases of COVID-19 were registered in CADO as of December 29, including 1 338 fatal cases. Thus, the mortality rate is 8.98%. 126 cases of pneumonia were also "officially" detected over the day (the occupiers refuse to associate them with coronavirus), which is 24 cases more than in the past day. Of these, 103 patients were hospitalized. A total of 1 760 patients with "usual" pneumonia are undergoing treatment in CADO, of which 654 are on oxygen support (+28 over the day).

There is a shortage of doctors, teachers and engineers in the occupied territory of Donetsk oblast. This was stated by Oksana Demina, who calls herself "the chief specialist" of the fake "Ministry of Education", - separatist media wrote. "According to the analysis of the labor market, the greatest need for personnel at the end of the current year is observed in the following sectors: healthcare, education, transport, processing and mining industries. At the same time, the greatest demand is observed for senior medical personnel - doctors of various categories and directions, engineers and teachers", - Demina stated.
The "DNR" occupiers arrested head of the "regional trauma hospital" in Donetsk Alexander Kravchenko. This was written in social networks. "The detention of Alexander Kravchenko took place three days ago. He is accused of "misuse of public funds", - the citizens wrote. Head of the anesthesiology department Olga Yudina was allegedly detained as well. The "DNR" occupiers did not give "official" explanations on this matter. The citizens are actively discussing the information.
A woman who worked as a nurse, suspected of stealing a large amount of money from a blind patient, was detained in occupied Horlivka. This was reported by the fake "DNR MIA". "…The Horlivka citizen, who stole a large sum of money from a pensioner born in 1936, was brought to justice", - the report said. The occupiers found that the victim's daughter hired the nurse, having left $800 for expenses. The dishonest helper embezzled this money, and, taking advantage of the patient's blindness, searched the apartment and found another $1760 belonging to the pensioner's daughter.
The birth rate in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast is four times lower than the death rate. These are the internal statistics of the "DNR" data, posted by officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Neshchadim on Facebook. In particular, according to the data in tables, 7 227 people were born in the "DNR" during January-October 2020, and 28 287 died, that is, the population decline is 21 060 people.
More than 900 subscribers are left without power supply in the occupied Dovzhansk district of the Luhansk region due to an emergency shutdown of power lines. This was said in the report of the so-called "Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LNR". The accident occurred on December 26 as a result of icing of power lines – 10 458 subscribers were left without electricity. The power supply has not yet been restored for more than 900 subscribers.
An explosion of unknown device in an apartment in the center of occupied Donetsk killed a 20-year-old girl, her mother is in resuscitation department. This was reported on social networks. Users wrote that the incident occurred along Rosa Luxemburg Street. "An explosive device went off in the apartment, a girl, 20 years old, died, her mother is in resuscitation department, in critical condition, her younger sister and father are OK", - the eyewitnesses reported. There was no "official" information about the emergency situation from the "DNR" occupiers.
