Ukrainian MFA categorically rejects the accusations made by the official representative of the Russian MFA regarding the attempts of Ukrainian party to "disavow the Minsk Agreements". This is said in a statement by Ukrainian MFA of November 17.

Ukrainian MFA recalled that on November 17, Russian MFA published the comment of its official representative in connection with the recent German-French statement on the settlement of conflict in the Donbas.

"Joint statement of the foreign ministries of Germany and France, which praised the implementation by Ukrainian party of the General agreed conclusions of the Paris summit in the Normandy format (December 9, 2019), in particular, noted that Ukrainian party, following the agreements achieved in Paris, created conditions for improving the situation at the entry-exit checkpoints on the demarcation line in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine before winter and alleviating the situation with the civilian population by opening the Zolote and Shchastya checkpoints in the Luhansk oblast, as planned, on November 10, 2020", - the MFA of Ukraine notes.

"The assessment by the foreign ministries of Germany and France of the efforts that Ukraine is making on the way to consistent fulfillment of the Minsk Agreements, in particular, of the decisions reached at the level of heads of state in the Normandy format, caused a storm of emotions, unfair criticism and manipulative accusations in Russian MFA. They do not correspond to reality and are an unsuccessful attempt to justify the further aggressive policy of the Russian Federation towards Ukraine and the unwillingness of the Russian party to take at least minimal steps to alleviate the humanitarian situation, facilitate the smooth implementation of contacts between the citizens of Ukraine on both sides of the demarcation line", - Ukrainian MFA states.
