Situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation on November 17 was controlled by Ukrainian soldiers, - the JFO headquarters reported. During the day, the armed formations of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire once: the enemy opened fire from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher in the area of Novotroitske. The enemy armed provocation posed no threat to the life and health of Ukrainian soldiers, so they did not open fire in response. There are no combat losses or injuries among the military personnel of the Joint Forces.

Four miners went missing as a result of fire at the Skochinsky mine in occupied Donetsk. This was reported by the so-called "Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DNR". The message about the fire in belt entry 5 of the western face at the mine was received at 5:20. There were 26 people in the mine at the time of the accident, of which 22 miners were raised to the surface. The fate of 4 miners is still unknown. In addition, three rescue men of the so-called mine rescue brigade were injured during the search and rescue operations. They rose to the surface by themselves with bruises.

Workers of the Makiivka metallurgical plant in the occupied territory of Donetsk oblast are on strike, demanding full payment of wage arrears. This was reported on social networks. It is worth reminding that this is not the first protest campaign at the metallurgical enterprise. The workers had already staged a strike in mid-October, having suspended the production. As a result, a schedule for the payment of wage arrears in installments was drawn up. So, according to this schedule, the payment of 46% for July was to take place on October 20-21. The steelworkers were to receive 15-20% for August by October 25 and the entire amount for the last month of summer - by the end of October. However, the promised repayment of debts was never followed. Earlier, the guards of the "nationalized" metallurgical plant (DMP) in occupied Donetsk went on strike because of wage arrears.

Leader of the "LNR" Leonid Pasechnik ordered all the militants "in reserve" to promptly appear at the military registration and enlistment offices for reconciliation. This was said in his "decree". "In order to check the citizens in the reserve assigned to the reserve formations for the relevant military positions… I decide to ensure a control attendance for those who are in the reserve at the departments of the military registration and enlistment office from November 17 to 21, 2020", - is sad in the "decree". The purpose of the control attendance is unclear, since the 2nd point of the "decree" is classified as "For official use" and it is not possible to get acquainted with its content. At the same time, realizing that the implementation of this "decree" will inevitably lead to an increase in the mobility potential of "storerooms" and a huge throng in the office premises in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, Pasechnik ordered to cancel all quarantine restrictions for the military registration and enlistment offices, except for observing social distance, wearing masks and gloves.

151 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the occupied territory of Donetsk oblast on November 16. This was reported by the so-called "Ministry of Health of the DNR". 18 deaths were also registered over the day - men aged 53 to 80 years and women aged 58 to 84 years died. In total, as of November 17, the occupiers confirmed 9110 cases of COVID-19 infection, of which 830 were fatal. That is, the mortality rate reached 9.11%. In addition, the increase in cases of "ordinary" pneumonia is "officially" recognized in the occupied Donetsk region. Thus, 121 cases of pneumonia were detected over the day, which is 60 cases more than in the previous day. Of these, 91 patients were hospitalized. A total of 1961 patients with pneumonia are being treated, of which 514 are on oxygen support (+23 over the day).
