Being a career officer of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh Rustam Muradov took part in the occupation of Donbas. This information was published by Russian propagandist Semyon Pegov.

He recalled that Muradov "had openly stated that he was a Russian officer first of all".

"But if you look at the biography of Muradov - it is obvious that this person is one hundred percent of ours. That is, an outspoken jingoist", - Pegov writes.

"Muradov went through the Donbas, where he repeatedly came under fire from Ukrainian nationalists", - he casually debunks the assertions of Russian leadership that Russian troops are not taking part in the war in eastern Ukraine.

As previously reported, journalists and researchers found out that a significant part of the Russian peacekeepers sent to Nagorno-Karabakh took part in the battles against Ukraine in the Donbas.
