6677 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine over the past day

6677 new cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"6677 people fell ill over the past day, including 298 children and 281 health workers. 1022 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 126 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 2799 patients recovered.

"In total, 355 601 people fell ill in Ukraine during the pandemic, including 20 843 children and 21 812 health workers. 145 336 people recovered and 6590 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

56 710 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 33 361 - by PCR and 23 349 - by EIA.
