Heading for 7000! There is a spike in new cases and deaths from COVID-19 in Ukraine

6719 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"We have another anti-record today. 6719 people fell ill over the past day, including 318 children and 365 health workers. 1009 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 141 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 2686 patients recovered.

"In total, 315 826 people fell ill in Ukraine during the pandemic, including 19 146 children and 20 174 health workers. 132 219 people recovered and 5927 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

62 869 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 32 729 - by PCR and 30 140 - by EIA.
