Sad anti-record. Almost 6 thousand new cases of COVID-19 detected in Ukraine

5992 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"We have another anti-record today. 5992 people fell ill over the past day, including 333 children and 238 health workers. 866 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 106 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 2269 patients recovered.

"In total, 287 231 people fell ill in Ukraine during the pandemic, including 17 769 children and 18 845 health workers. 121 919 people recovered and 5408 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

56 899 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 34 008 - by PCR and 22 891 - by EIA.
