4420 new cases of COVID-19 detected in Ukraine over the day

265 454 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of October 12. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"4420 people fell ill over the past day, including 235 children and 166 health workers. 521 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 43 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 903 patients recovered.

"In total, 265 454 people fell ill in Ukraine during the pandemic, including 16 612 children and 17 922 health workers. 114 410 people recovered and 5 015 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

21 906 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 19 867 - by PCR and 2 039 - by EIA.
