Anti-record every day. 5804 new cases of COVID-19 detected in Ukraine over the past day

250 538 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of October 9. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"There is another anti-record in Ukraine today. 5804 people fell ill over the past day, including 320 children and 284 health workers. 852 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 89 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 2417 patients recovered.

"In total, 250 538 people fell ill in Ukraine during the pandemic, including 15 831 children and 17 393 health workers. 110 650 people recovered and 4 779 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

56 405 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 32 658 - by PCR and 23 747 - by EIA.
