There are no questions about amending the resolution on the organization and conduct of local elections in Ukraine on the agenda of current plenary week of the Verkhovna Rada. This was reported by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov on the air of the ICTV channel, - Ukrinform reports.
"As far as I know, there were no issues of amending the resolution on elections there (at a meeting of the Servant of the People faction in the evening of September 28 - ed.). This issue is not on the agenda for this plenary week as well", - Razumkov noted.
At the same time, he recalled that amendments to the decree on the organization and conduct of local elections may call the legitimacy of the entire electoral process into question, because according to the current legislation, the Verkhovna Rada announces elections no later than 90 days before their holding.
As previously reported, Russia and its puppets in CADLO demand to change the Rada's resolution on local elections, excluding the mention of aggressor Russia and the demand for de-occupation and restoration of control over the Ukrainian-Russian border from it.
The Verkhovna Rada has appointed the next local elections in Ukraine for October 25. The electoral process began on September 5, and official nomination of candidates takes place on September 15-24.
