The amnesty will not apply to those who committed war crimes in the Donbass. This was stated by first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Reznikov on the air of the Ukraine 24 channel.

"We are now preparing a package of bills on the transitional period, which will include laws on transitional justice. We must give answers to the citizens of Ukraine who live in the occupied territories, so that they clearly know that they are not afraid of the return of official Ukraine to these territories", - Reznikov noted.

According to him, the amnesty does not wait for traitors and murderers, "who have committed war crimes and genocide against humanity - it is better for them to really run, because they will be punished completely, not only in accordance with Ukrainian laws, but also in accordance with all international conventions".

"Therefore, one should not be afraid of the word amnesty, around which there is a lot of rhetoric and worries. There should be amnesty, amnesty is constantly applied, we study 260 conflicts Earthside that have occurred. And each time the official government tapplies the amnesty then. But, of course, it does not apply to war criminals, marauders, psychopaths and the like", - he stressed.

As reported by OstroV, deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group Vitold Fokin believes that a peaceful settlement of the armed conflict in the Donbas is impossible without declaring a total amnesty to its participants.
