COVID-19 sticks to its guns: almost 3 thousand new cases recorded in Ukraine over the past day

159 702 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of September 15. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"2905 people fell ill over the past day, of which 171 children and 145 health workers. 546 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 53 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 1267 patients recovered.

"In total, 159 702 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 10 327 children and 13 100 health workers. 70 810 people recovered and 3 264 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

47 621 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 26 898 - by PCR and 20 723 - by EIA.
