2462 cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine over the day

2462 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine over the past day. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"2462 people fell ill over the past day, of which 172 children and 70 health workers. 360 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 33 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 650 patients recovered.

"In total, 156 797 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 10 156 children and 12 955 health workers. 69 543 people recovered and 3211 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

15 920 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 14 323 - by PCR and 1 597 - by EIA.

The largest number of new cases was recorded in the Ternopil, Odessa, Kharkiv and Lviv oblasts, as well as in Kyiv.
