2551 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine over the past day

143 030 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of September 9. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"2551 people fell ill over the past day, of which 160 children and 135 health workers. 389 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 45 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 1157 patients recovered.

"In total, 143 030 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 9 236 children and 12 306 health workers. 64 703 people recovered and 2979 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

44 152 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 20 054 - by PCR and 24 098 - by EIA.
