2411 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine over the past day

140 479 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of September 8. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"2411 people fell ill over the past day, of which 135 children and 102 health workers. 434 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 57 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 940 patients recovered.

"In total, 140 479 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 9 076 children and 12 171 health workers. 63 546 people recovered and 2934 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

42 233 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 22 860 - by PCR and 19 373 - by EIA.
