SBU counterintelligence withdraws militant who knows a lot about military personnel of Russian Federation in Donbass from "DNR"

Counterintelligence officers of the Security Service of Ukraine have withdrawn from the so-called "DNR" a former militant of a tank battalion, who provided important evidence on the specific circumstances of the Russian armed aggression and military support of the "DNR" militants by the Russian Federation, - the SBU press center reports.

The man told the SBU about the participation of professional Russian military personnel in coordinating the actions of mercenaries, the supply of tanks and other military equipment from the Russian Federation, the training of the illegal armed formations' members by instructors-servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces in camps and at training grounds near Rostov-on-Don.

A check by the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed that he took part in the hostilities and did not commit other grave and particularly grave crimes.

Considering these circumstances, the former militant was released from criminal liability by the court decision on the basis of Part 2 of Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
