Yet more! 2495 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine over the day

125 798 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of September 2. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"2495 people fell ill over the past day, of which 133 children and 136 health workers. 445 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 51 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.

1015 patients recovered.

"In total, 125 798 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 8 210 children and 11 498 health workers. 58 817 people recovered and 2656 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

46 736 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 24 531 - by PCR and 22 205 - by EIA.

According to Stepanov, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Ternopil (201), Kharkiv (302), Ivano-Frankivsk (174), Odessa (203), Lviv (204) and Rivne (127) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (332).
