1670 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ukraine over the day

110 085 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of August 26. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"1670 people fell ill over the past day, of which 77 children and 91 health workers. 467 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 36 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.

584 patients recovered.

"In total, 110 085 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 7 439 children and 10 705 health workers. 53 454 people recovered and 2354 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

33 222 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 15 800 - by PCR and 17 422 - by EIA.

According to him, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Chernivtsi (170), Ternopil (181), Kharkiv (177), Ivano-Frankivsk (167), Odessa (186), Lviv (171) and Kyiv (96) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (95).
