Higher and higher… 1732 new cases of COVID-19 recognized in Ukraine over the day

87 872 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of August 14. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"There are two anti-records. 1732 people fell ill over the past day, of which 110 children and 78 health workers. There is another hospitalization anti-record - 330 people were hospitalized over the past day", - the minister stated.

According to him, 19 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.

581 patients recovered.

"In total, 87 872 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 6 093 children and 9 575 health workers. 46 216 people recovered and 2011 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

35 237 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 18 917 - by PCR and 16 320 - by EIA.

According to him, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Lviv (184), Chernivtsi (154), Kharkiv (205) and Odessa (160) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (158).
