86 140 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of August 13. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"1592 people fell ill over the past day, of which 88 children and 92 health workers", - the minister stated.

According to him, 22 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.

530 patients recovered.

"In total, 86 140 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 5 973 children and 9 492 health workers. 46 216 people recovered and 1992 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

36 632 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 18 984 - by PCR and 17 648 - by EIA.

According to him, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Lviv (166), Chernivtsi (130), Ivano-Frankivsk (138), Kharkiv (209) and Odessa (114) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (133).
