1433 new cases of COVID-19 recognized in Ukraine over the day. There are half as many recovered people

84 548 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of August 12. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"1433 people fell ill over the past day, of which 116 children and 65 health workers", - the minister stated.

According to him, 19 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.

752 patients recovered.

"In total, 84 548 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 5 895 children and 9 400 health workers. 45 686 people recovered and 1970 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

38 487 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 19 380 - by PCR and 18 107 - by EIA.

According to him, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Lviv (166), Chernivtsi (113), Ivano-Frankivsk (128) and Kharkiv (139) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (182).
