Russian occupation forces continue to fire at unmanned aerial vehicles, with the help of which the OSCE SMM monitors the observance of ceasefire in the Donbass. This is evidenced by the Mission's report of August 3.

It is reported that on August 1, the SMM representatives were located approximately 2 km north of Petrovske to control a short-range unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flight near the disengagement area in the area of Petrovske.

"Members of the SMM patrol heard 15 single rounds of small arms fire approximately 500 m west of their location. It was estimated that the fire was directed towards the UAV that was flying over the positions (assessed as belonging to the armed formations)", - the report said.

After shelling of their UAVs, the observers landed them and left the area.

It is noted that these incidents occurred after the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on July 22, at which an agreement on additional measures to strengthen the ceasefire from 00:01 on July 27 was reached.
