Number of patients with COVID-19 in Ukraine is growing again: plus 829 cases over the day

60 995 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of July 22. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"829 people fell ill over the past day, of which 75 children and 83 health workers", - he stated.

According to him, 16 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.

973 patients recovered.

"In total, 60 995 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 4 329 children and 8 103 health workers. 33 172 people recovered and 1534 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

31 973 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 13 574 - by PCR and 18 399 - by EIA.

According to him, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Lviv (124), Ivano-Frankivsk (78), Zakarpattia (60) and Kharkiv (57) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (132).
