The "DNR" leader Denis Pushilin has admitted that the participation of foreign mercenaries in the war in Donbass is a violation of all norms of international law. He stated this, commenting on the information that the military medic of the AFU, killed by the Russian occupation forces during the evacuation of body of the deceased sworn brother, had Estonian citizenship.

At the same time, Pushilin did not mention that Russian mercenaries were the major driver force of the unfolding Russian aggression against Ukraine since 2014. In particular, Russian saboteur Igor Girkin, who seized Sloviansk, actually unleashed active hostilities in the Donbass. The "DNR" leader did not remember that he recently paid tribute to eliminated bandit Arsen Pavlov, nicknamed "Motorola", who was also a citizen of Russia.

According to "first head of the DNR" Alexander Borodai, also a Russian, up to 40-50 thousand mercenaries from Russia and other countries fought against Ukraine in the Donbass. The international armed gang Piatnashka has been fighting on the side of the Russian occupiers throughout the entire hybrid war.

In this regard, the words of the "DNR" leader Denis Pushilin can be viewed as an involuntary recognition of the illegal methods of waging war by the Russian occupation forces.

"The use of foreign security forces in armed conflicts, both for the direct implementation of military operations and as instructors for training military personnel, is a taboo recognized by the whole world and should not be violated under any circumstances… I also note that Article 3 of the UN General Assembly Resolution "The definition of aggression" of 1974 stipulates that the fact that a state has sent mercenaries can be qualified as an act of aggression", - Pushilin demonstrates his knowledge of international law.
