The issue of CADLO's joining the Russian Federation has never been discussed at the country level in Russia. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak in an interview with TASS, responding to statements about the prospects of CADLO's joining the RF.

As previously reported, Russian mercenary Alexander Borodai, who headed the so-called Donetsk People's Republic in 2014, showed confidence on July 5, 2020 during the congress of the Rodina (Homeland) party in St. Petersburg that the Kremlin would de jure include the occupied territories of Ukrainian Donbass to the Federation in the near future.

Kozak believes that this kind of statement is "the opinion of only the authors of these statements".

"The questions in such a formulation have never been discussed at the country level even in simplistic terms. We do not lose hope for a peaceful political settlement of the conflict. We are vitally interested in this. Even the frozen conflict on the southwestern borders of the Russian Federation is not needed at all", - Kozak noted.

Earlier, Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stated that he was not aware of any actions of the Russian Federation about the allegedly soon accession of the occupied territories of Donbass to Russia.

Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on Foreign Affairs Vladimir Dzhabaro also stated that Russia was not going to include the occupied Donbass in the Russian Federation.
