876 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Ukraine over the day

46 763 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of July 2. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"876 people fell ill over the past day, of which 74 children and 46 health workers", - he stated.

According to him, 27 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day.

506 patients recovered.

"In total, 46 763 people fell ill during the pandemic, including 3 382 children and 6 874 health workers. 20 558 people recovered and 1212 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.

26 329 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 13 162 - by PCR and 13 167 - by EIA.

According to him, the largest number of cases over the past day was recorded in the Lviv (153) and Zakarpatita (80) oblasts, as well as in Kyiv (105).
