Occupiers of the "LNR" have stated that "foreign intelligence services and fringes" were staging miners' strikes in order to discredit the "republic". This was told by the "official" representative of the so-called "LNR Ministry of State Security".

According to him, "foreign special services and extremist organizations are trying to destabilize the socio-political conditions in the "republic". The representative of the Ministry of State Security acknowledged the existence of "socio-economic vulnerabilities", but called the workers' demand to solve these problems "discrediting the political vector of development of the "republic".

In addition, according to the public security officer, strikes cause "substantial image damage to the leadership of the "republic".

"Alternative trade union movements, the so-called independent trade unions are one of the extremist organizations. The activities of destructive social movements such as the Independent Trade Union, the Donbass Workers' Party, the Strike Committee and several others are carried out not only in the "LNR", but also on the territory of the Russian Federation", - he noted.

The representative of the punitive institution of the "LNR" called any calls for protests by the miners in defense of their rights as "destructive actions of manipulative influence in the information space".

The local public security officer stated that the activities of organizations and trade unions supporting the strike movement "are aimed at causing damage to the "state" interests, reformatting and replacing the ideological values of the population and creating mechanisms to influence the internal political processes of the "state".

Allegedly, they provoke "mass acts of civil disobedience and unlawful strike events" over the Internet.

The representative of the "Ministry of State Security" fears that the strike movement will be "accompanied by a complete or partial paralyzing of functioning of industrial enterprises or other objects of "state" significance".

Summarizing the barrage of accusations against organizers and participants of the strike movement, the "LNR" security official called on the occupation authorities to "systematically carry law expository work with personnel and distribute information about constitutional rights and lawful forms of protecting their interests".

As previously reported, the miners of two mines in the occupied territory of Luhansk oblast held underground strikes demanding payment of wages and preservation of jobs.
