Ukraine can theoretically invite mayors and representatives of local authorities, elected in the Donbass in 2010, to participate in the Minsk talks as representatives of CADLO. This was stated by First Deputy Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, theoretically, Ukraine can invite mayors and heads of local councils, elected in the 2010 legal elections in the Donbass, to the TCG if they meet the criterion of public legitimacy.

"From the point of view of public administration, we have the principle of continuity of power. All these councils are still legitimate. They all have a representative mandate and it has not ended. All these people can continue to fulfill their duties until holding of new legal local elections and the election of new representatives of the local government", - he explained.

As previously reported, head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak announced during a meeting with ambassadors of the G7 and the EU countries that Ukraine would present a group of representatives of certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts at the next meeting of the TCG in the form of a video conference, in particular among Ukrainian citizens - internally displaced persons.
