The Cabinet of Ministers begins to ease quarantine restrictions since May 11. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at an extraordinary meeting of the government today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"We begin to remove a number of restrictions from May 11, as provided for in our plan", - he stated.

According to him, the government is interested in launching the economy as soon as possible.

"We are ready to communicate today and make an appropriate decision so that the business is ready and has enough time to prepare its institutions for the correct exit from quarantine", - the prime minister said.

He noted that parks and recreation areas, hairdressers, beauty salons, outdoor areas of cafes and restaurants would be open from May 11.

"We will allow the work of eating establishments for takeout and the work of outdoor venues", - Denys Shmyhal said.

"We are also talking about wholesale and retail trade in non-food products. Except for the entertainment areas, food courts, cinemas, children's areas, and shopping centers", - he explained.

In addition, the work of public services institutions, as well as museums and libraries, will be allowed.

"Dentists, auditors, lawyers, notaries and household appliances services (will also work - OstroV)", - the Prime Minister said.

As previously reported, Ukraine confirmed 12 331 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus as of May 4, 303 people died, 1619 - recovered.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced an emergency situation throughout Ukraine and extended quarantine until May 11.
