"LNR" occupation authorities forbid residents to approach border with Russian Federation closer than 5 kilometers

Occupation authorities of the "LNR" have forbidden the local residents to approach the border with Russia closer than 5 km. This is stated in the report of the so-called "Ministry of State Security".

It is noted that this punitive department "imposed restrictions on the stay of residents in the territories adjacent to the border of the "republic" with the Russian Federation".

"The "Ministry of State Security" determined the limitsof the border zone and the procedure for issuing permits for presence, performing work in the section within which a border regime was set, entry/exit of vehicles of organizations carrying out economic and other activities at international checkpoints was established", - the report of said.

The so-called "special border regime" was established on an area directly adjacent to the border of the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border.

"The width of the area on which the "border regime" is established does not exceed five kilometers", - the "Ministry of State Security" stated.

Entrance to this zone, except for the residents registered there, is possible only with special passes issued by the "Ministry of State Security".
