In the area of the Joint Forces Operation on April 21, the armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire at the positions of the Joint Forces twice, - the JFO headquarters reported. The enemy fired 8 mines from 120 mm mortars at our units near Krymske and Novotoshkivske. Our defenders resolutely responded to all the opponent fire provocations, forcing the enemy to return to a ceasefire. There were no casualties among the Ukrainian troops as a result of the enemy shelling. There were no cases of coronavirus infection among the Joint Forces personnel. Situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation remains controlled.

Occupation authorities of the "DNR/LNR" believe that they are the ones who own the initiative of selecting sites for the disengagement of forces and means along the contact line. This follows from the statement of one of the representatives of CADO in the Minsk subgroup on security issues Alexey Nikonorov. The "DNR" could not reach agreements with Ukraine on any of the four proposed new sites for the disengagement of forces and means in the Donbass", - he complained. It follows from Nikonorov's words that the occupation authorities, without taking into account the views of the Ukrainian party, offered favorable for them areas for disengagement and the Ukrainian delegation did not like it. "We proposed four sections: two each from the "DNR" and "LNR". But the position of the Ukrainian party indicates that it does not intend to agree on any of the proposed sites, since there is not a single site proposed by it (Ukraine - OstroV)", - Nikonorov noted.

The so-called "Supreme Court of the LNR" sentenced a resident of Alchevsk to 12 years in prison, allegedly for "high treason". This was reported by the so-called "Prosecutor General's Office of the LNR". The man is accused of allegedly being recruited by the SBU in April 2016 and "collecting and transmitting information to his curator until April 2019, "the disclosure of which could harm the security of the "state" structures and the "republic" as a whole".

Occupation authorities of the "LNR" developed a plan to close the mines, which they will consider unprofitable. This was stated by calling himself "chairman of the government" Sergey Kozlov. "A program to reorganize the coal industry of the LNR will begin in the near future", - Kozlov reported at a meeting with "specialized ministers". According to him, "the main tasks of the reorganization will be, first of all, entering the profitability regime of all coal enterprises". Kozlov did not directly say that unprofitable mines would be closed, but the question about the miners who would be dismissed from mines recognized as such was raised during the meeting. The occupation authorities promised that a number of social guarantees are provided for such miners. As previously reported, miners in the occupied Donbass receive a salary of 10-15 thousand Russian rubles. Moreover, the practice of its months-long delays has developed.

The "LNR" occupation authorities quarantined all hospitals and cemeteries. This was stated in the report of the so-called "government of the republic". "To prohibit all visits to patients in hospitals from April 22 until a special order… To close cemeteries for visiting citizens of (except for registration of services for burial and participation in a burial from April 22 until a special order", - the report said. Despite the recorded cases of COVID-19 disease in the occupied part of Luhansk region, the occupation authorities of the "LNR" do not announce quarantine "officially", but introduce severe restrictive measures.

An ambulance got into an accident at the intersection of Sovetskaya and Kotelnikova streets in occupied Luhansk, as a result of which a woman was injured. This was reported by the so-called "LNR MIA". The driver of the Mitsubishi car did not give way to the ambulance with blue rotating beacons and a special sound signal. As a result of the collision, the ambulance went into an uncontrolled drift, drove to the safety island, where it hit a woman pedestrian. The victim was hospitalized with bruises of the ankle joint of both legs.
