Action against doctor who became source of mass infection with COVID-19 brought in "DNR"

Occupation authorities of the "DNR" have opened a criminal case against a doctor who became a source of mass infection with COVID-19. This is stated in the report of the so-called "general prosecutor's office of the republic".

"Based on the results of the verification of compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological "legislation", carried out in connection with the threat of the spread of a new coronavirus infection in the "DNR", the "DNR General Prosecutor's Office" instituted criminal proceedings against the doctor of one of the "republican" hospitals", - it notes.

The "prosecutor's office" reported that the case was being investigated "on the fact of the doctor's violation of the sanitary and epidemiological rules through negligence, which led to a mass disease of people".

The so-called "law of the DNR" provides for a fine of up to one million rubles or imprisonment for up to three years.

As previously reported, unofficial information was spread on social networks that the head of the ophthalmology department of one of the hospitals in the occupied territory of Donetsk oblast, who returned from abroad, was at the beginning of the chain of patients with COVID-19.
