In two days, Ukraine closes the border for foreign citizens for 2 weeks. This was announced by Secretary of the NSDC Oleksiy Danilov at a briefing in Kyiv today after a meeting of the NSDC, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"Our country will close the border for foreign citizens in 48 hours", - he stated.

According to him, the ban will be introduced for two weeks.

"After 2 weeks, depending on how the situation develops, the NSDC will make the following decision", - he noted.

Danilov noted that all citizens of Ukraine who are abroad would be able to return home.

"But those countries where there is a coronavirus will undergo certain observational procedures", - he noted.

According to him, all the checkpoints will be provided with rapid tests for coronavirus within a week.

Danilov also addressed the Ukrainians to limit trip abroad if possible.

As previously reported, 3 cases of infection with Chinese coronavirus were recorded in Ukraine. The last two cases became known on the evening of March 12. COVID-19 was confirmed for a woman of retirement age from the Zhytomyr oblast and a man from the Chernivtsi oblast, whose wife was in Italy for the past 14 days. A resident of Chernivtsi was first with the disease. He returned with his wife after a trip to Italy.
