DOM (HOME – ed.) television channel for the occupied territories began broadcasting in test mode on March 1, 2020. This was reported by acting director general of the UATV channel Yulia Ostrovska at a press conference in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"DOM TV channel has been broadcasting in test mode since March 1", - she stated.

Ostrovska noted that several Ukrainian media groups have provided their premium content for this channel "almost for free".

According to her, the main goal of the channel is to return the political, cultural and social life of Ukraine to the agenda of citizens who live in the temporarily occupied territories.

"Our main goal is to convey our common message that Ukraine is our common home, and that "we" is our main word, wherever we live, in whatever part of our united country", - she said.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko explained that the channel would broadcast series, talk shows, and sports events.

"The channel will begin to produce its own news in the coming days. Then, as soon as we are ready, we will add various formats. This is a morning show and a talk show… The channel will increase its own production. We plan that it will fully make its own production in 2 years", - he said.

Tymoshenko noted that the DOM television channel is available only in digital broadcasting format now.

"Now the channel has no satellite or Internet broadcasting. As soon as we will have our own production, the channel will begin satellite broadcasting", - he said.
