Government in Rada to be asked why people do not feel improvement promised by Zelensky - Kornienko

Questions to the government about why, despite the population's support for President Volodymyr Zelensky's policies, people do not feel systemic reforms and better welfare, will be asked in the Verkhovna Rada during an extraordinary session on Wednesday, March 4. This was reported by chairman of the Servant of the People party, MP Oleksandr Kornienko during a conciliatory meeting of the parliament, - LIGA.net writes.

According to him, 73% of the population chose Zelensky's course, it was confirmed in the parliamentary election and confidence in it remains, but people do not feel this "in their pockets", "in payments" and "in systemic reforms".

Kornienko also emphasized that in connection with the security situation in the world associated with the coronavirus and a possible financial crisis, it is necessary to institutionally and systematically review what the government should do. The Cabinet of Ministers should become the headquarters to eliminate these threats, - Kornienko stated.

Also, according to him, certain areas of the government work require revision and reforming. In particular, we are talking about the enlargement of the ministries, which "did not fully work out", and about a possible return to the Ministry of Industrial Policy.

On March 1, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk and head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak met at Sutra Indian Restaurant. Honcharuk stated that outstanding issues were discussed.

Honcharuk stated today that the decision to dismiss individual ministers is under consideration, and he did not write a letter of resignation.

An extraordinary session of the Rada will take place on March 4 at the initiative of Zelensky: decisions on the Cabinet of Ministers will be made.
