65 former prisoners released on December 29, 2019 have received the status of persons who were deprived of their liberty as a result of the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Veterans on the Facebook page.

"They will receive financial assistance from the state in the amount of 100 000 hryvnias ($4057) already at the beginning of next week. The decision was made by members of the Interdepartmental Commission to consider issues related to the recognition of persons to be deprived of freedom as a result of the armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine, which was created under the Ministry of Veterans", - the message said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Veterans promised that the state would pay 100 thousand hryvnias to the Ukrainians released from captivity within a week.
