Ukraine agrees to the joint border control with representatives of CADLO as a condition for holding local elections in the Donbass. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during the Ukrainian lunch in Munich, - European Pravda reports.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine came up with a proposal to conduct disengagement on a new principle, which would free the Donbass sector from military equipment, but it was also important for elections to have control over the border.

According to him, the possibility of joint control is being considered. "There will be Ukrainians, representatives of the occupied territories and the OSCE", - he explained. The president did not specify a possible scenario for the selection of "representatives of the occupied territories".

"We will not hold elections without control over the border", - Zelensky emphasized.

He reiterated his intention to hold local elections in the occupied territories of the east as early as this fall.
