The office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will demand a refutation and apology from journalists through the court for the information contained in the Scheme program about the details of the trip to Oman. This was reported on the website of the head of state.

"The Office of the President of Ukraine states that the information set forth in the story of the Scheme program about the meeting of the President of Ukraine with a senior official of the Russian Federation, allegedly taking place in Oman, is completely and totally untrue. The President of Ukraine never met (personally or within the framework of international events), told or communicated in any other way with Nikolai Patrushev", - the report said.

The journalists are expected to refute the information provided.

"The Office of the President of Ukraine regards the publication of conclusions that are based not on facts or evidence, but on speculation and information from some secret "sources" that takes place in the release of the Scheme program, as outright manipulation of public opinion. When such manipulation is carried out in social networks by anonymous accounts as part of the information operations of the aggressor against Ukraine, this can still be explained by the logic of a hybrid war, but when Ukrainian journalists do the same, it goes beyond the concept of free journalism as such. The Office of the President of Ukraine expects the Scheme program to refute information that does not correspond to reality and assumptions made on its basis", - the Office of the President noted.

"We are applying to court with a lawsuit in which we will demand refutations and apologies. We also consider it our duty to draw the attention of the public broadcaster - the UA:Pershyi television channel - to the distribution on its air of information that is untrue and is an outright manipulation of social conscience", - the Presidential Office mentioned.

As previously reported, the story of the Schemes program talked about the fact that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky flew from Oman on the same plane on which Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev arrived there. In turn, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak commented on his Facebook on the investigation of the Scheme program regarding the January visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky to Oman and meeting with Nikolai Patrushev. "Can the story of Radio Libertyˈs Scheme be called such that is supported by facts and objective? Unfortunately, no. Where are the testimonies of specific people? Where are the objective data? Did the viewers hear at least something other than the phrase "according to our sources"? We want a dialogue, and are ready to comment on the facts. The main problem of the Schemes story is that there is nothing to comment on there", - Andriy Yermak stated. He considers investigation of the Schemes to be untrue.
