Five people checked for coronavirus in Ukraine - head of Ministry of Health

Five people are being checked for coronavirus in Ukraine today. This was announced at a briefing by Minister of Health of Ukraine Zoriana Skaletska, - RBC-Ukraine reports.

According to her, doctors are constantly monitoring people who flew from China.

"We have a constant telephone contact with them, we regularly call up. They know the symptoms and where to go. Today, there are three such people who returned from China and asked for help… and two more contact persons. That is, only five people whom we are checking for coronavirus", - Skaletska added.

Previously, acting Director General of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine Ihor Kuzin stated that the number of Ukrainians infected with coronavirus on the Diamond Princess cruise ship could increase.

At the moment, it is known about two citizens of Ukraine who became infected on the ship. They were hospitalized in a Japanese hospital and will stay under medical supervision for at least 14 days.

In total, as of February 11, 1016 deaths from a new type of Chinese coronavirus were recorded. It is also known that more than 40 thousand people around the world are infected with it.
