"DNR" sentences another "spy" to 14 years in high-security prison

The so-called "court" of the "DNR" has sentenced another resident of the occupied territory to 14 years in a high-security prison, allegedly, "for espionage". This is reported by the so-called "Prosecutor General Office" of the "DNR".

Citizen V. Podvezko was accused of the fact that from September 2014 to May 2018, he allegedly "acting intentionally, by visual observation and photographic fixation, collected military information about the movement of military equipment and deployment" of units of the so-called "people's militia" of the "DNR".

In addition, the accused "posted notes, statements, images and propaganda materials on his page on a social network, calling for the implementation of actions" directed against the "DNR".

The "court" operating in the territory controlled by the militants convicted the man of "espionage" and sentenced him to a prison term of 14 years.

In January, the East Human Rights Group reported that the militants were detaining civilians on suspicion of "espionage" in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts left and right.
