Cabinet of Minister announces population of Ukraine. Without residents of occupied territories

The population of Ukraine is 37 million 289 thousand people. This was reported by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Dmytro Dubilet at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"Three methods gave approximately the same result - 37 million 289 thousand people in Ukraine. Unfortunately, this figure does not include those who permanently live abroad and in the occupied territories. This is the number of people who are physically in Ukraine as of December 1, 2019", - he reported.

The Minister noted that the population was estimated by three methods. The first method was to evaluate the data of mobile operators, an additional large-scale social research was additionally carried out, and data from the registers of young Ukrainians and pensioners was added.

The second method was to use the analysis of data from the state statistics and electronic registers of Ukraine.

The third method is the use of registry data for individuals.

"All three methods gave roughly the same result", - Dubilet noted.
