In the area of the Joint Forces Operation on January 16, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire 9 times, - the JFO headquarters reported. The enemy fired at our positions from 152 mm artillery systems prohibited by the Minsk agreements, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, as well as from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms. In addition, there was sniper activity of the militants. One member of the Joint Forces was killed as a result of the enemy shelling.

Creator of the terrorist Vostok Battalion Alexander Khodakovsky criticized the resigned Russian government and accused ex-Prime Minister Medvedev of not liking the "DNR". This was reported by separatist media. "Mr. Medvedev's government is not pro-Donbass. I think that not a single member of Mr. Medvedev's government has sympathy for us. On the contrary, as functionaries, they see us as an irritant, a factor of additional instability that causes some difficulties in the Russian economy and their direct activity. Therefore, if we are talking about the zero mark, we have prospects only to improve the situation, but in no way worsen, because it could not be worse", - Khodakovsky stated. According to him, the Medvedev government complied with Putin's orders regarding the "DNR/LNR" without much sympathy for the militants of the so-called "republics".

On February 1, the occupation authorities of CADO will begin testing pensioners living in a part of the Donetsk oblast controlled by the militants. This was reported in social network by the so-called "deputy" of the "DNR" Anastasia Selivanova. She clarified that the "verification" of all pensioners will be held from February 1 to May 30, 2020. Selivanova reminded that the "pension" in CADO is paid only to those pensioners who are registered and live in the occupied territory. "From February 1, every pensioner must PERSONALLY come to the pension fund and provide a certain package of documents (original + copy)", - the "deputy" wrote. According to her, if a pensioner is more than 80 years old or he/she is a disabled person of the 1st or 2nd group, the employees of the "pension fund" should come to his/her house.

A man, who was heading from occupied Horlivka in a Mazda car, manufactured in 2010, was detained at the Mayorske checkpoint. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. During a detailed inspection, the law enforcement officers found that the Mazda car, which the man was driving, was stolen in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in 2014 and has since been wanted by Interpol.
