The crew of the Russian propaganda channel Zvezda has arrived in Kyiv to shoot stories about the situation in Ukraine. This is said in a message on the channel's website.
The message said that the Zvezda journalists were one of the first Russian journalists to go to Kyiv after the invitation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference on December 10 following the Normandy Four summit in Paris.
"Our crew is flying to Kyiv. Mr. President Volodymyr Zelensky himself invited journalists at a press conference. We decided to check whether he keeps promises and let us pass through customs. Camera-control engineer in full gear - equipment and a microphone with our logo, is next to me", - correspondent of Zvezda Diana Sirazi told.
According to her, the border service of Ukraine did not even ask the purpose of their visit letting Russian propagandists into the country.
"Well, we are in the center of Kyiv! I am on the Maidan. To be true, it is not yet clear whether all the Russian journalists were opened the gate and for how long?", - the Zvezda correspondent reports from Kyiv.
As previously reported, Zvezda is a television company of the Ministry of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Its reports from Ukraine repeatedly distorted the real picture.
PS. According to the Russian media reports, journalist of the Izvestia multimedia information centre Alexey Lazurenko also arrived in Ukraine.
