Tymoshenko, Poroshenko and Vakarchuk raise 5 "red lines" before Zelensky on the eve of Normandy format meeting

Three parliamentary factions have appealed to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a joint statement before the negotiations in the Normandy format scheduled for December 9. This is reported by Radio Liberty.

The "statement on the prevention of violation of the national interests of Ukraine" was signed by leaders of the European Solidarity political party Petro Poroshenko, the Voice party Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and the All-Ukrainian Union Batkivshchyna Yulia Tymoshenko.

The politicians declared five "red lines", "the violation of which will cause irreparable harm to Ukraine".

"1. No compromises on a unitary state and no federalization.

2. No compromises regarding the European and Euro-Atlantic course.

3. No political actions, in particular, elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass, until the security and de-occupation conditions are met. In particular, the withdrawal of Russian troops, the disarmament of illegal armed formations, the establishment of control over the state border.

4. No compromises on the de-occupation and the return of Crimea to Ukraine.

5. No cessation of international trials against Russia", - these are the demands of leaders of the three factions.

As reported, the Normandy format meeting would be held in Paris on December 9 with the participation of leaders of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia. The last time such negotiations took place in October 2016.
