"DNR" establishes "state border" throughout entire Donetsk oblast by its "law"

The so-called "people's council" has defined the "state border" of the self-proclaimed "DNR" within the entire Donetsk oblast at the time the conflict began in 2014. This is reported by separatist media.

The "border" is defined by the so-called "law" that was adopted today.

"Those people who live in the temporarily controlled by Ukraine territory are forgotten in this law. Therefore, the border is determined by the territory of Donetsk oblast, which was for the period of 2014", - so-called "Chairman of the People's Council" Vladimir Bidiovka said.

He believes that the "border" will pass along the line of contact until the end of the war. In his understanding, this does not contradict the Minsk agreements.

The Minsk Agreements and the Set of Measures, approved by the Normandy Four, do not provide for the existence of any "people's republics". The "DNR" and "LNR" are not mentioned in these documents. The temporarily occupied territories of Donbass must return to the jurisdiction of Ukraine as certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts by way of the disarmament of illegal armed formations and local elections held according to Ukrainian laws.
