The Servant of the People party's faction in the Verkhovna Rada will support the removal of immunity from people's deputy from the European Solidarity, fifth president Petro Poroshenko. This is reported by Novoye Vriemia.

According to first deputy chairman of the Servant of the People faction Oleksandr Korniyenko, the faction is ready to vote for the removal of immunity from Poroshenko, if general prosecutor Ruslan Riaboshapka makes such a submission to the parliament.

"Everyone is motivated to vote for the removal of immunity. This should be supported by all deputies, because this is an honest position, because we refused the immunity. In fact, this is a technical vote when the immunity is removed for the purpose of legal proceedings. Such voting will not be needed from January 1, 2020, when amendments to the Constitution will come into force", - Korniyenko stated.

At the same time, the People's Deputy did not predict the date of voting for the submission regarding Poroshenko…

As previously reported, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) handed over suspicion of Poroshenko to the Prosecutor General's Office on October 30, 2019, but it laid there for almost 20 days without movement. Petro Poroshenko is convinced that he was "ordered" by the Yanukovych team.
